At Empowering Choices Counseling & Consultation appointments are scheduled in accordance to a counselor’s availability, and number of days in the office. Each counselor has different days which they see clients in the office. Due to counselors having varied schedules, appointments may be scheduled in the evenings after 5:00 PM, Pacific Time, or on the weekends depending on the counselor’s availability; although, the clinic is closed on Sundays.
We do accept private pay and a variety of insurances and will bill your insurance for you; although, we are not considered “in-network” with insurance companies. Many insurances do allow for “out-of-network” benefits, and we are happy walk you through the steps to determine if your insurance does provide coverage for “out-of Network” coverage. Those companies which do not provide “out-of-network” benefits may provide reimbursements for services by your insurance company. Although we are happy in assisting you through this process, it is your responsibility to determine what your insurance benefits will cover and what they will not. When you talk with your insurance company, ask them if they allow you to use “out-of-network” providers and if you have a co-pay. Another question to ask your insurance is if they do reimbursements if you send them a receipt for your session.
Client’s are responsible for co-payment, deductibles, and/or payments at the time of service. Health savings accounts can be arranged to come in later if the client does not have their saving debit card with them. Each counselor will provide receipts which will have all of the necessary information for reimbursement insurance plans.
The standard fee for counseling services is $100 per 50 minute session; however, we do have a sliding fee scale which is available upon request. All of our fees for services are listed in our table and can also be found in our intake paperwork. Please let us know if you have any questions.
Empowering Choices Counseling and Consultation accepts cash, checks, debit/credit, and health savings accounts as payment for services rendered.
