Joanne graduated with her Master’s degree from George Fox University’s Clinical Mental Health Counseling program. Prior to coming to Empowering Choices, she worked for Kairos NW in residential treatment with youth ages 17.5 to 24 years old assisting them with managing their mental health while developing independent living skills.

 
Joanne enjoys collaborating with people to accomplish their goals for their lives. She approaches the therapeutic relationship from a Person-Centered foundation providing unconditional positive regard and empathy. In addition, she also uses a Jungian approach in exploring the root of situations as well as one’s self. She integrates a variety of expressive arts therapy as desired by clients. She is passionate about people’s development through life stages, Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), trauma, and attachment. Joanne works with children, young adults, women, and couples.
