Lucas earned his Bachelor of Science in Psychology and his Master of Arts in Counseling both from Corban University, graduating most recently in 2013. While earning his Master’s degree in Counseling, Lucas was an intern at the Corban University Free Mental Health Clinic, serving first as the receptionist and then as a counseling intern seeing his own caseload of clients. Just before finishing his Master’s in Counseling, Lucas started working as a Skills Trainer for Albertina Kerr, working with youth in therapeutic foster care.
Lucas has experience working with a variety of clients: children, adolescents, adults and groups who have had a variety of challenges from severe trauma and neglect to interpersonal problems and personality disorders. With experience in using Person-Centered Counseling, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Object Relations Therapy, Lucas will work with clients to find what is going to work best in each client’s individual situation.
