Michaela Chambers graduated with her Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology in 2020 and is a current graduate student of her alma mater’s Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at Corban University. Michaela is scheduled to graduate in the summer of 2024. Michaela has experienced working with a range of clients with severe and persistent mental illness as well as intellectual and developmental disabilities in residential, group, and individualized environments. She believes that a trusting and authentic therapeutic relationship is critical in obtaining effective healing. Michaela aims to aid her clients in solidifying their identity and purpose in life and heal from that in which may be getting in the way of this pursuit. Michaela practices from a blended counseling approach informed by person-centered, psychodynamic, and existential theories. Every person is different and requires a uniquely tailored experience to help them best address their needs, and counseling is no exception. One of Michaela’s passions is helping her clients transform from trauma and crisis as she aims to provide her clients with a safe and comforting space to do so.
